Profile

Starting in the summer semester of 2010, the International University of Calw will offer a three-year, career-complementing Masters Program in “Innovative Change Processes (Coaching and Consulting)”.

The program is designed in an interdisciplinary fashion and has received international accreditation. It communicates the abilities and knowledge relevant to coaching, staff/organizational development and consulting. The Masters program results in a practical scientific degree, which entitles graduates to pursue doctoral studies. An exceptional feature of this program is the configuration of change processes along the interface of personality and profession – using an artistic and solution-based methodology.
A high degree of qualified professionalism is guaranteed by the teachers’ aesthetic skills and excellent advisory know-how, complemented on the one hand by practical experience and on the other by a solid grounding in science.

In this program, you will learn

  • Classic coaching techniques for coaching staff members and managers;
  • To integrate solution and resource-oriented questions into your leadership methods;
  • To support staff members, customers and clients in personal reflection and to correspondingly promote the business objectives;
  • To actively use artistic media and their innovative potential for your own personality development as a leader and to be able to innovatively and constructively address change processes in a globalized world;
  • To develop and promote team solutions, which do justice to an interdisciplinary scientific approach and the 21st century’s intercultural society;
  • To use creative competences in collegial consultations.

For entrance into the program, a professional university degree is required. In addition, at least three years of professional experience with responsibility for the staff of a business or three years of experience in a consulting position (pedagogy, psychology, sociology or similar degree) is expected.
