University
The International University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Calw (IHC) was established in 1994 as a continuing education academy and received state accreditation in 1998. It follows the mandate of a public educational institute.
- We are a private institution, recognized for the modern design of our innovative educational model and for our research on selected topics of high social relevance.
- We place great importance on having a friendly atmosphere in which people can develop into responsible personalities in accordance with their skills. This is embodied in our integrated approach to the cultural and social sciences as well as economics.
- We want to attract students who wish to use their abilities and talents not only for their own personal success, but also in a socially responsible manner. To this end, we offer internationally accredited courses of study for lifelong learning.
- Our primary support comes from the high level of personal engagement that characterizes everyone associated with the IHC, our innovative university management, which reconciles the specific requirements of scientific work with the demands of modern business management, and a network of select cooperation partners.
- We are dedicated to continually promoting the internationalization of the IHC and to providing additional benefits to the region. We support businesses and organizations with user-oriented research and services to aid their own development.
The university’s lectures are held in the facilities of the “Federal Academy for Further Education and Personal Development in School Systems” in Bad Wildbad. Our university office (contact) can also be found at this location.
